BCP Treasurer, Crystal Collier, marks Five Years with Double-Lung Transplant

Her license plate says “Lungs,” and it’s not attesting to her capacity as a distance runner (which she is not), but rather to how far Crystal Collier has gone with the disease Cystic Fibrosis dogging her since she was a child growing up at Broadway. January 2015 marked the fifth anniversary of the 31-year-old’s double lung transplant. Cake and refreshments were shared all around with her mother and Broadway family as Crystal celebrated the ongoing lease on life that this surgery has brought to her.

A graduate of Goshen College, Crystal is a CPA who has worked for local firms and now serves as Broadway’s treasurer and member of our core leadership group. She also handles the accounting chores for Immanuel UMC. Crystal’s joy, courage and determination to manage her disease is a delight and inspiration to all who know her. We praise God for her life here among us.
